Otheon exists so that patients can trust what they see. Every rule on this page is one the product enforces, not a promise in a footer.
The Verified badge
Checked by Otheon, never bought.
A clinic that has applied but has not passed its checks is listed without the badge. The badge cannot be bought, and it comes off if a re-check fails.
What the badge means has been checked
- The clinic licence. A valid licence for the clinic's city or country, with the document on file.
- The practitioners. Each practitioner listed on the profile, and their registration.
- The business behind the listing. The clinic's identity and address match the licence.
- Re-checks. When a licence renews, a practitioner changes, or a concern is raised, the clinic is checked again.
Ranking
No paid rankings, ever.
No clinic can pay to appear first, to be featured, or to push another clinic down. Order reflects verification and patient signal, and any commercial relationship that could affect what you see is labelled.
Reviews
In the patient's words, and only after a real booking.
Only from real bookings
You can review a clinic only after a consultation booked through Otheon. No drive-by reviews, and none from people who never visited.
Never edited, never rewarded
Reviews are published as written. Nobody edits them after submission, and no discount or gift is ever offered in exchange for one.
Right of reply
Clinics can reply publicly to any review. They cannot remove or hide one. Star ratings always show the number of reviews behind them.
Safety concerns
A private route, not a public feed.
If something about a clinic worried you, there is a direct channel to the verification team from the clinic's profile. It is separate from reviews, so a concern is investigated rather than argued about in public.
What happens next
- You describe the concern from the clinic profile. It goes to the verification team only, never to the clinic's public page.
- The team reviews it and, where needed, asks the clinic for evidence.
- A clinic that fails a re-check loses its badge until the matter is resolved.
Rules by country, and honest labels
The app follows local law, and says what is demo.
Star-only reviews where the law requires it
Some countries restrict written testimonials for medical services. Where that applies, Otheon shows the star rating and review count without written text. The rule follows the clinic's country, not the reader's.
Honest demo labelling
Anything that is demo data says so, in the app and on this site. DEMO PREVIEW and DEMO PROFILE pills mark placeholder clinics and images until real verified clinics onboard, and the line in the footer comes off only then.
